Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read
What series have you broken up with? Why?
- Vampire Academy Richelle Mead- People look at me like I'm crazy, but I could not get into this series. I got bored by the second book.
- Need Series by Carrie Jones- I liked the first three books, but I waited so long for the forth I lost interest.
- House of night P.C. and Kristen Cast- I haven't broken up with this series, but it feels like I have. I am four books behind, and I have so many books to read I am not sure when I will catch up.
What books have you ditched? Leave me a comment!
If you follow me I'll follow you back!
Since GFC is going away if you could follow on another widget that would be great!
It took me a long time to read VA but eventually I did. There are some parts that dragged a bit, but I perservered, and in the end I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF

That is good. For me there is just something about those novels that I cannot get into.
DeleteI enjoyed VA as well, sorry it didn't work out for you though. I read the Need series and the last book just sucked completely. Go girl on HON that series is never ending haha. Thank you for stopping by and I am now following you!

Thanks for following me! I don't seem to be the only one who had given up on HoN series. I am happy to hear the last book of Need isn't good I won't waste my time on it!
DeleteI've seen the HON series a lot and not just for today's question. My sister owns most of them, and I know she hasn't finished them. I haven't read any of the three series you mentioned yet. I'd like to try The Vampire Academy since I want to read the Bloodlines books. There are lots of people who don't enjoy books that seem like everyone and their mother likes, lol. So that's totally okay. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for following me and visiting. I'm following you back by GFC, email, and Bloglovin'. :D
Thanks for following!! I loved the first books of HoN but it just keeps dragging on and on. You may like the Vampire Academy, I just found it to be a lot of drama. I just could not get into it.
DeleteI have Vampire Academy on my shelf waiting for me to read. I will have to see if I agree with you or not. Great answers. New GFC and Linky follower. Thanks for visiting my FF. =]
ReplyDeleteThanks for following. I would love to hear what you think about Vampire Academy. They just were not my thing. I have friends who loved them.
DeleteI took some time to check out your blog (awesome). Looks like we're both Simone Elkeles fans! Perfect Chemistry was my first YA contemporary romance. So good! And I don't come across many bloggers reviewing Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, but I love her, especially her shapeshifter series. I think my sister might secretly be in the same VA camp as you. Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to following your blog. I hit you up all over the place, GFC, bloglovin', Linky. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my blog. I have grown to really love Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. She creates unique novels. I have been wanting to read her shapeshifter series, but I cannot find them in my local book stores, nor in my local library. I will probably have to buy them online. I am also a huge fan of Simone Elkeles. Perfect Chemistry was my YA contemporary romance as well. It was Perfect Chemistry that made me want to read the other novels she wrote. Thanks for stopping by I look forward to following your blog!
DeleteVA is a bit of a hit or miss series, the spin off Bloodlines was my favourite, but then I have a thing for Adrian ;)
ReplyDeleteThanx for visiting my FF!

Thanks for following! I have been told Bloodlines are pretty good, but I cannot get into Vampire Academy, so I doubt I will ever read them but who knows.
DeleteI only recently read VA and it was really good. I did feel that it was dragged and felt like giving up, but it really was good! I'm shocked you didn't finish it but it's cool!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of Need but yes, waiting for a book makes you lose patience and forget about it.
I can totally understand you giving up House of Night. That is one never ending series and every book means a new guy for Zoey to hook up with.
Great answer, Courtney! Thank you for stopping by my F&FF earlier and for following The Readdicts! I'm following you back via GFC. Happy reading!

Thanks have a great day! I look forward to seeing more of your posts.
DeleteI think the issue with the House of Night series is that it's gone one WAY too long. That is one of the reason's why I need to break up with it. Tell me the end is near and I will continue to read, otherwise, I've got to go. Thanks for visiting my FF.
