Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme that is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This weeks topic is Winter TBR. I don't have specific TBR piles for my seasons; I am more of a mood reader. I tend to go on binges of whatever is my current bookish obsession. Most recently it has been Fantasy and Retellings. Because of this, most of my TBR is either Retellings or Fantasy novels.
1) Legendary by Stephanie Garber - I bought this book on preorder, and have desperately wanted to read it, but I just cannot seem to find the time to do so. This book is at the top of my TBR pile.
2) Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard - this is one of the books that has been on my shelf for so long. I keep telling myself that I will read it but never get around to it. I hope to get to it by the end of winter.
3) Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones - This book was recommended to me. A close friend and a member of my book club told me I would love it and needed to read it. I trust her recommendations and hope to get to it soon.
4) And the Trees Crept In/The Creeper Man by Dawn Kurtagich - I have high hopes for this book. The synopsis sounds right up my alley and I LOVED Dawn Kurtagich's book The Dead House. I am really hoping that this book lives up to my very high expectations.
5) We'll Never Be Apart by Emiko Jean - I bought this book as a complete cover buy. Now that I have done a little research I found out that this is the debut novel for Emiko Jean. I love reading debut novels and hope to get to this book soon.
6) Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis - This book is a retelling of Snow White. Based on the synopsis, it sounds like it might be one of the most unique retellings I have come across.
7) Entwined by Heather Dixon Wallwork - This is a retelling of the twelve dancing princesses. This is another one of those books that just sit on my shelf and I keep telling myself I will get to but never actually do. I am trying to get back into "Shopping my Shelf" and am trying to read some of the books that have been on my shelf for a while.
8) Monstrous Beauty by Elizabeth Fama - Mermaid stories are always hit and miss for me, but I have high hopes for this one.
9) Soundless by Rochelle Mead - I am very intrigued by the synopsis of this story. I have been wanting to read this story for such a long time. I am hoping to read this book sometime in the upcoming year.
10) Never Ever by Sara Saedi - This was book was primarily a cover buy. I was intrigued by the Synopsis, I have never been a huge Peter-Pan fan, but the story sounded interesting. In the end, it was the cover that won me over.
